The driver collects you from your Tokyo hotel and drives you to the southern foot of Mt. Fuji. After your chosen family attraction in the morning and lunch, you make a final stop at Shiraito Falls before returning to your hotel in the late afternoon. Please note that traffic returning into Tokyo can be heavy on weekends, so allow some flexibility for the homeward leg.

Tour Itinerary

❖ Pick-up at your hotel in Tokyo

Your private vehicle and English-speaking driver collect you at your Tokyo hotel between 08:00 and 10:30 (depending on the attraction chosen and traffic conditions). From there you head west out of the city toward the southern foot of Mt. Fuji.

❖ Family attraction of your choice

10:30 - 13:15 (2:45 h)

You choose one of three family attractions at the base of Mt. Fuji. The driver will purchase your tickets and stays nearby in case you need anything during the visit.

Option A. Grinpa. A surprisingly quiet flower amusement park where over 200,000 tulips or dahlias bloom seasonally with Mt. Fuji towering behind them. Grinpa is home to the Sylvanian Family Village, with life-size replicas of the storybook houses each containing their own activities, alongside many rides and enormous bouncy slides. Note that flowers are seasonal and depend on the time of year, and food options inside the park are limited to fast food, so if you have picky eaters consider bringing a picnic.

Option B. Fuji Safari Park. Experience animals from all over the world living freely at the base of Mt. Fuji. The Safari Zone is driven through in a car so you can see them up close, and children are thrilled when wild animals like lions or giraffes walk right up to the window. Outside the safari section, everyone can stretch their legs at the petting zoo.

Option C. Fujiyama Snow Resort Yeti (winter only, December 1 to March 22). Drive up to Mt. Fuji's Second Station for a snow wonderland with sledding hills, ski slopes and a dedicated snow playground that is very child-friendly.

❖ Shiraito Falls

14:00 - 15:00 (1:00 h)

Fed by the snowmelt from Mt. Fuji and surrounded by green foliage, Shiraito Falls (the white thread waterfall) spreads across a wide wall of moss-covered stone. The site has been praised in poetry since ancient times and is designated a Natural Treasure of Japan. An easy stroll on a paved path leads to the viewpoint, making it suitable for children of all ages.

❖ Return to your hotel

The driver returns you to your Tokyo hotel by approximately 18:00. Traffic heading back into Tokyo can be heavy, especially on weekends and holidays, so please allow flexibility on the return leg.
